Important information on your Dyson Guarantee
Thank you for purchasing a Dyson appliance. Your Dyson appliance comes with a Dyson Guarantee. This page provides information to be read with your Dyson Guarantee to ensure that you are fully informed about your legal rights.
Statutory rights for goods purchased as a consumer
Dyson appliances come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. For example, if the goods provided to you by Dyson are not of acceptable quality, or if the goods are not fit for a particular purpose made known by the consumer or represented by Dyson, or if the goods do not correspond with the description advertised by Dyson, then Dyson is required to repair the goods, replace the goods, or provide a refund. Where the failure of the goods to comply with one of the guarantees in the Act cannot be remedied, or the failure is of substantial character, you may reject the goods and choose to receive a refund or replacement from Dyson, and/or damages for loss.
All rights provided under your Dyson Guarantee are in addition to any rights you have as a consumer under New Zealand consumer law.

- registration of your Dyson Guarantee;
- what is covered by the Dyson Guarantee;
- the period under which you can claim under your Dyson Guarantee and
- any conditions you must comply with in order to claim under your Dyson Guarantee.

How to claim under your Dyson Guarantee

Most queries can be solved over the phone. If it is determined that your Dyson appliance needs repair, you will be provided with a reply paid address through the Dyson Customer Care Helpline.
If your repair or replacement is covered by your Dyson Guarantee, it will be repaired or replaced at no cost. If the repair or replacement is found not to be covered under your Dyson Guarantee, the repair or replacement and any associated delivery charges (both to and from us) will be at your cost, subject to your statutory rights and remedies as a consumer under New Zealand consumer law.
