Buying from the Website

    1. By using or buying from this website, you acknowledge and warrant to Dyson that:
      • a) you are an New Zealand resident aged 18 years or over;
      • b) you will be liable for all costs, fees, charges and other amounts which may become payable to Dyson as a result of your use of this website;
      • c) you are not breaching any requirement of any applicable law relating to the privacy of personal information by providing the information to Dyson; and
      • d) all information (including credit card details) you provide to Dyson is true and complete.
    2. Your telephone order or on-line purchase order (as applicable) is an offer to buy from Dyson. All orders should include a daytime delivery address and contact details. Dyson reserves the right not to accept an order for any reason at its sole discretion. Dyson shall not be required to provide reasons for refusing to accept an order.
    3. By providing your details, you consent to receiving related communications from us, including confirmation that the order has been received by Dyson.
    4. Confirmation of the order does not constitute acceptance of your order. Dyson reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason (including stock run out), regardless of whether your order has been confirmed or your credit or debit card has been charged, or Paypal has been cleared. If your order is declined or cancelled by Dyson after the payment for the purchase, Dyson will promptly refund your payment to the credit or debit card or method you originally used for the purchase.
    5. Payment for the goods which you order must be made either by credit or debit card issued by Mastercard or Visa, or Paypal.
      • a) Your credit or debit card, or Paypal will be charged at the time of Dyson receiving your order and prior to the time that the goods are dispatched and received by you. Dyson will provide you with an invoice number as confirmation of the order. If your payment is rejected by the card issuer your order will not be dispatched. Payment is made at your own risk.
    6. If you pre-order for the goods, order goods which are currently out of stock, or book a delivery slot in advance, Dyson and its payment partners will authorise or reserve a charge on your credit or debit card, or Paypal for any amount up to the full value of the goods at any time between the order being placed and the goods being delivered. If the authorisation has expired or for any reason has failed, Dyson reserves the right to re-authorise up to the full amount, either before or after dispatch of the goods. In which case, Dyson will notify you via the email address provided during checkout. If Dyson does not receive re-authorisation from your credit or debit card issuer, or Paypal, then Dyson will contact you so that you can provide Dyson with another payment method. If in the unlikely event that the price increases from when the goods were originally ordered, Dyson will contact you 7 days before requesting re-authorisation from your credit or debit card issuer, or Paypal.
    7. The price of the goods (including for parts and accessories) (inclusive of GST), the applicable delivery costs and availability of the goods displayed on this website are subject to change without notice. The title to goods will only pass following payment in full.
    8. Delivery dates of the goods provided by Dyson are intended to be an estimate only, and no reliance should be placed on any estimate provided by Dyson.
    9. Orders will only be accepted from and dispatched to street addresses in New Zealand.
    10. Orders will be delivered by post and we aim to have the goods delivered to you within 5-7 days of the acceptance of your order, subject to availability of stock. Delivery of the products may be totally or partially suspended by Dyson during any period in which Dyson may be prevented or hindered from delivery by its normal means of delivery or supply through any circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, unavailability of stock, accidents or breakdowns of plant or machinery. Dyson will not be liable for any damages (whether direct or indirect) not reasonably foreseeable arising from its failure to deliver any or all of the products.
    11. Any failed delivery attempt due to incorrect details provided by you must be paid for by you. Subsequent delivery attempts may incur additional delivery charges.
    12. To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Dyson (including its employees, officers, agents and contractors) makes no representations about the materials contained on this website or any websites linked to this website.
    13. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dyson (including its employees, officers, agents and contractors):
      • a) is not liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage, however caused (including negligence), which may suffered be directly or indirectly, in connection with use of this website including but not limited to interference with or damage to your computer systems; and
      • b) is not liable (whether that liability arises under contract, tort (including negligence) or statute) for any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including without limitation loss of revenue and loss of, or damage to, data) suffered or incurred in connection with this website.
    14. New Zealand consumer law provides for statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded by law. The limitations outlined in clause 12 and clause 13, and anywhere else in these terms and conditions , will not operate to the extent they are inconsistent with New Zealand consumer law.
    15. Any information that you disclose on this site may be used by Dyson, its agents and contractors in relation to the provision of products. You have the right under the Privacy Act 1993 to access, and request correction of, any personal information held by us about you.     16. Dyson may vary these terms and conditions at any time. Any variations become effective on posting. You will be bound by these terms and conditions (including any variations made to these terms and conditions) that are on this website at the time you place an order.
    17. You may cancel your order at any time up to 14 days after receiving the goods by notifying us in writing either by:

You must return the goods, unused and sealed in their original packaging to: Dyson New Zealand, Unit 6 / 99 Carbine Road Mount Wellington Auckland, New Zealand,1060. Please contact us via phone on 0800 397 667 or email at help@dyson.co.nz prior to return and we will provide details on how to return. Note that if you fail to take reasonable care of the goods we might not be able to accept their return. We reserve the right to decline to accept return of any goods if in our opinion, reasonable care has not been taken. Otherwise, we will refund the full purchase price to you.

If your goods are being returned for a defect, please contact us prior to return. We will provide details on how to return the goods, including a reply paid number to cover postage.


Dyson Academy   

  1. Information on how to claim, Dyson’s offers in connection with the Dyson Academy, and the promotional card received by you form part of these Terms and Conditions. By using the promotional code received by you in connection with the Dyson Academy, you accept these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions on the promotional card (including the promotional code) provided to you by Dyson.
  2. The Dyson Academy program is run by Dyson for eligible retail partners, as determined by Dyson.  Dyson offers promotional codes in connection with the Dyson Academy for training purposes and to increase product awareness of participants.
  3. A promotional code issued to you in connection with the Dyson Academy program is valid during the specified time period on the promotional card, and on the terms and conditions set out in the promotional card provided to you.
  4. To be eligible to claim, participants must be employees of a retail partner participating in the Dyson Academy program, and attend a Dyson Academy event.
  5. Dyson reserves the right to verify the validity of all purchases made through the Dyson Academy program and reject any purchase that is made in breach of Dyson’s terms and conditions (including any terms and conditions that apply to a promotional code issued under the Dyson Academy program).
  6. Each promotional code is valid for two product purchased as specified on your promotional card in two transaction, is not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be taken as cash.  Purchases made using a promotional code under the Dyson Academy program must be for personal use only.
  7. Promotional codes are able to be redeemed online only at www.dyson.co.nz, and are not able to be used for purchase of Dyson products in stores at retailers or in conjunction with any other offer. Stock is subject to availability. No rain checks.
  8. Dyson reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the offer at any time without prior notice.  
  9. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law including statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law, Dyson excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotional offer, including any claim or offer that is claimed outside of the specified period, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by Dyson) due to any reason.
  10. Dyson, and its contractors and agents, collect and use your personal information in order to assess and administer your claim. If you do not provide this personal information, then Dyson will not be able to fulfil any valid claims that you may submit. Dyson may also collect and use your personal information to provide you updates on our latest products and services, to analyse and research customer choices on products, to provide products and services you have requested (e.g. extended warranty, gift with purchase, Money Back Guarantee) and for other purposes relating or incidental to warranty (e.g. machine and warranty registration, product recalls) (“the Purposes”).  To do so, Dyson may disclose your personal information to its related bodies, business partners or third parties for purposes such as web or data hosting. Some of the recipients are located overseas, including United States of America, the Netherlands and United Kingdom. Dyson will ensure that any transfers of your personal information outside of New Zealand will be in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and Dyson’s privacy policy. You may have the right to access, update and amend personal information that Dyson holds about you.
